What Does Navien Error Code E439 Mean?
The E439 error code on your Navien tankless water heater means the unit isn't sensing any domestic hot water flow. The unit expects to see water moving through it when you open a hot water tap. When it doesn't, it shuts down to prevent damage. This can happen for a few reasons, but it usually points to a problem with the water supply, the flow sensor itself, or the unit's control board. Basically, the Navien is designed to only fire when water is flowing to prevent overheating and damage. If it thinks there's no flow, it locks out.
